I purchased this book two years ago as a part of my son's first 25 Days of Christmas books we give him each year. He has always loved books, and this one was no different! The colors are bright with good contrast for a young child. The pages are simple. The book has held up through many baths now. My newborn daughter will get to play with it in the bath soon, but is still too young to get much enjoyment out of toys during a bath. I am very impressed that this book has held up for as long as it has. My son is now two and occasionally still plays with this book in the bath. He chewed on it while teething and there are still no permanent marks. There is a small rattle on the inside of one of the pages but it doesn't do much. If the rattle was better, I would have given five stars. Since I did purchase this book so long ago, they may have made it better in the newer editions. Overall, I would recommend this bath book!
I ordered this Plastic book for my baby girl because she chews every book i give her. She is teething. She is 14 months old. This book is waterproof plastic with a rattle that comes from one of the pages.( A rattle inside to make noise for the child) She has gotten it wet and she has bitten and played with it and I LOVE THIS BOOK because it works! She LOVES this book! The plastic is durable but not hard and bends and moves. The pictures on it are so cute, with words as well describing the animals! I would highly reccomend this book for any child,especially for a parent that needs or wants a book that can't be destroyed by a child biting it. The added security knowing she can't swallow pieces of this book is great!!!
Thought I'd take a risk, since the bad reviews are older. It's a nice bath time book! No chemical smells or peeling issues like some previous reviewers experienced. My book notes the manufacturing date on the back; March 2016. The size is nice, my baby likes it, and the rattle is a fun bonus!
Our almost 2 year old loves to read - and is always trying to take her books in the bath with her. This worked perfect - she was so excited! Great quality.
Didn't really float, but the baby liked it
My 12mth old son loved this book on sight. It has bright colors, simple pictures & words that he loved to look at. Whats more, he chewed on it as a teether, and loved to rattle it. BUT the book just lasted 3-4 days. The colors started peeling from inside the vinyl pages. This cannot be used as a bath book as it'll fall apart in 1 week. We had the same experience with another book in this range called "Animals in the Water". I'd reccommend Barnyard Bath instead. It's of a better quality despite daily use in teh bath for months now.

Like that it can be used in the bath tub and it makes noise.
